When I needed to more time before committing, they weren't pushy at all, but instead asked when I wanted them to follow up, and they waited until that date to contact me again. We were able to get transparent pricing all along the way so we could maximize what we wanted within our budget. Once construction started, things moved relatively quickly. The construction crew was respectful of our time and space. They start early in the morning and work hard - even through those hot mid-day hours. Eli, Nathan, and Nathaniel are all helpful, responsive, ethical, and enthusiastic. Despite their relative youth, they have what I would consider an old-school approach to customer service. “Eli and his team were amazing from day one! We interviewed about five different companies during our shop-buying process, and Eli was above and beyond the most helpful. He took time out of his weekend to show us previous builds and answered every single question—there were a lot!—quickly and professionally. They helped us design the shop and provided both engineered and construction plans for the DIYer. Any time we requested modifications, they were handled promptly and without any hassle. Honestly, that might be the best part: zero hassle with this crew. We built most of the shop ourselves, but when we ran out of time, Eli and his team saved the day by finishing the insulation, awning, and siding. Another thing we love about Whitestar is their flexibility—they can do all the work, some of it, or none, and even if you’re doing it yourself, they’ll still take the time to answer questions and guide you through the process. I truly wish customer service like this existed everywhere. Hands down, we would recommend them—10 out of 10!”

“We wanted a quality building at competitive market price. This needed to be a strong structure that complemented our residence. When searching and comparing, I decided to go with an open span steel, rather than timber, which required interior support, limiting inside movement. Steel structures are offered from light tubular to heavy 'red iron'. The size we decided on (30' x 50') allows enough room for an RV, with left over space for a hobby shop. Not being an professional engineer, but with experience in agriculture, oil field and heavy haul, I believe in my ability to recognize a balance of strength and durability. The light tubular structures on the market would concern me with wind and snow load stability. On the other hand, red iron appears basically overkill for the size we desired. I also wanted a company that could complete from start to finish. Whitestar sets up permits and lines up, what I came to recognize as quality contractors from start to finish. The time frame worked well and was unexpectedly quicker than I anticipated. The only noticeable delay was overhead door install. Yes, Whitestar has my recommendation. We are very happy with the results.”
