Whitestar Metal Building kits come with detailed instructions that guide you through assembly and installation. A DIY crew can handle many of our smaller and medium buildings, as the field installation process is relatively straightforward.
A typical DIY installation:
- Crew Size: ranges from 2 to 4 people
- Time Needed: ranges from 2 to 10 working days.
- Typical Equipment: telehandler or material lift, boom or scissor lift, impact drivers, screw guns, standard hand tools, rigging, ladders, and fall-protection equipment.
For smaller buildings, time, labor, and lifting equipment requirements are lower, but larger buildings, like 40×60 configurations, usually need more; they're at the upper end of these ranges. Larger or complex buildings often need a bigger crew or more equipment, and may require professional installation.
Installation times are rough estimates that depend on various factors like building size, crew experience, and site conditions. They only account for assembling the building kit, not foundation preparation, concrete curing, or other trades. Your project's engineered drawings, assembly instructions, and safety regulations should always be followed.
